The Pre-Primary Phase
At Highway College, our Pre-Primary pupils develop essential foundational skills through a balanced blend of free and structured play, alongside a comprehensive school readiness program. Learning is fostered through group activities and self-exploration, all within a well-guided framework.
At Highway College, our Pre-Primary (Grade 000-0) offers an engaging environment filled with fun and friendship.
Our theme-based approach encourages guided play, exploration, and structured learning, nurturing each child’s unique interests, preparing them for school, and building strong self-esteem.
Our activities promote independence, problem-solving, and essential life skills, fostering respect and courtesy towards others.
The Junior Primary Phase
The strong foundation built in our Pre-Primary phase provides an excellent launching pad for continued growth in the Junior Primary years. At Highway College, we inspire a love for learning and encourage children to develop a strong work ethic through their natural curiosity and drive to understand the world around them.
At Highway College, we actively encourage our Junior Primary learners to participate in sports and celebrate their achievements during school assemblies and in our newsletter.
We maintain a policy that ensures every learner who consistently attends practices will have the opportunity to play in matches throughout the term. Coaches keep detailed attendance records, and we uphold a “no practice, no play” policy, applicable even to our top athletes.
Once a learner commits to a sport, we encourage them to complete the season, unless a valid medical reason arises. Matches for all teams are scheduled before the season begins, and if some students drop out mid-season, it can leave their teammates without sufficient support.
